Daily maintenance of conductive sponges mainly includes cleaning, disinfection and storage.
Cleaning
Daily cleaning: Regularly use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust and small debris on the surface of the conductive sponge, and make sure that the dust in the gaps is also cleaned. You can use laundry detergent or sponge cleaner to spray on the surface of the sponge, then brush it evenly with a brush, and finally use a vacuum cleaner to suck away the detergent and dust.
Deep cleaning: For stains that are difficult to remove, you can use natural cleaners such as baking soda, white vinegar or lemon juice for deep cleaning. Soak the sponge in warm water, add an appropriate amount of detergent, rub it gently, and rinse it with clean water.
Disinfection
Microwave sterilization method: Put the cleaned sponge in a microwave bowl and heat it on medium heat for 1-2 minutes for disinfection. After heating, let the sponge cool for a while, then take it out and squeeze it gently to remove excess water, and finally let it air dry naturally.
Boiling disinfection method: Add enough water to a large pot, add 1 tablespoon of white vinegar, boil the water, put in the sponge and boil for 2-3 minutes, then turn off the heat and soak for 10 minutes. After taking out the sponge, gently squeeze it to remove excess water, and finally air dry naturally.
Dishwasher washing method: Put the sponge in the dishwasher and select the high-temperature washing mode for washing. After washing, take out the sponge and let it air dry naturally.
Disinfectant cleaning method: Add cold water and bleach to a large bowl, and immerse the sponge completely in the solution for 5-10 minutes. After taking it out, gently squeeze it to remove excess solution, rinse it with clean water, and finally air dry naturally.
Storage
Store separately: Conductive sponges should be stored separately, avoid mixing with other items to avoid being squeezed and deformed or contaminated by other items. You can put the sponge in a special storage box or bag to keep it clean and dry.
Avoid humid environment: The place where the conductive sponge is stored should be kept dry and avoid humid environments. You can place a desiccant in the storage area to absorb moisture in the air and keep the environment dry.
