The shelf life of conductive cloth is usually six months after production. The following is a collection of relevant precautions:
Storage conditions
It should be stored in a cool and ventilated place, avoiding high temperature or high humidity environment to ensure stable quality.
Unused conductive cloth should be sealed in a carton to prevent moisture or oxidation.
Pre-use treatment
If used after storage in a low temperature environment, it needs to be warmed up at room temperature (20°C) for at least 3 hours to restore its shielding and conductive properties.
Timeliness is related to application
The electromagnetic shielding and conductive properties of conductive cloth will decay over time, and exceeding the validity period may result in substandard performance. For example, conductive tape (a derivative material of conductive cloth) also follows a six-month shelf life and needs to be used in a timely manner.
